The mission of the Instructional Technology Center (ITC) is to provide leadership in promoting the effective and efficient use of educational technology to enhance teaching and learning at CSI, and increase access to higher education. ITC offers a learning and demonstration area in which to try out new technologies that enhance the delivery of instruction in a multimedia environment, and serves as a source of expertise and support for those at the college who wish to take advantage of the capabilities and opportunities offered by information technology to transform their academic practices.

ITC was designed for use by faculty on our campus to help them with their technology related projects, such as multimedia presentations, online classes, Web page development, desktop publishing, image/video/sound editing, and multimedia authoring.

ITC greatly helps CSI in its commitment to high quality education that now necessitates the effective use of technology. Our Center helps ensure that CSI faculty keep up with the latest changes in technology and take full advantage of the opportunities created by those changes. CSI encourages its faculty to explore different teaching styles that match the diverse learning styles of our student population. Use of multimedia technology is one way CSI faculty is trying to enrich the learning experience for all students.

CSI recognizes that information technology can provide a competitive edge to its graduates, and training faculty in effective and efficient use of technology is one way our college ensures that students who graduate from CSI will possess technology skills appropriate to their disciplines and will be adequately prepared for the information-intensive environment in which they will live and work. ITC staff plays a big role in accomplishing this goal by leading the multimedia curriculum development on our campus: researching feasible multimedia delivery options, developing technology-enhanced curriculum, and educating faculty and staff on the most effective delivery and distribution methods.
